Evektor s r.o. belongs among the most significant companies developing modern airplanes in Central Europe.
Evektor s r.o. dates back to 1991, when it was established by three men with a vision of creating a strong and effective company focused on aerospace and automotive industries.
We realized we could concentrate and develop human potential in our region and follow the best traditions of the mechanical engineering industry of the Czech Republic.
The company headquarters is located at the international airport in Kunovice in South Moravia near to Austria and Slovakia. This region has been known for its long and successful history in the aerospace industry. Letecké závody company, a famous manufacturer of the world known airplane L410 Turbolet (more that 1 000 units produced) as well as Moravan Aeroplanes, a former successful manufacturer of sport airplanes, are located in our neighborhood.
A large portion of our employees is formed by experienced professionals from the aerospace industry as well as young and educated specialists who are educated by the Aerospace Institute of Brno University of Technoilogy with which we intensively cooperate.

2005 the SportStar airplane has won a certificate in S-LSA category as the first airplane ever

History of Evektor-Aerotechnik
The company history goes down to 1970 when on January 1, the company Aerotechnik was established. The main scope of business was from the very beginning development and manufacturing of small aircraft. Single-seat and two-seat versions of A-70 gyroplane belonged among the first designs.
Since 1972 Aerotechnik has extended its scope of business on overhauling, maintenance and rebuilding of small GA aircraft (Zlín aircraft series, L-60 Brygadýr). Service activities of Zlin aircraft terminated in mid 90´s.
In the middle of 70´s the very popular motor glider L-13 Vivat was developed and its production was running till mid 1990´s. Around 200 units of the L-13 Vivat were successfully exported to USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Egypt, Israel, Germany, Sweden and many other countries.
In 1996 the production of the all-metal ultralight aircraft P-220 UL Koala was successfully launched. The production run till the end of 1999, totally 35 units of P-220 aircraft and 7 kits were sold. Since the year 1997 the new developed high performance ultralight aircraft EV-97 Eurostar is successfuly produced.

After fusion of Aerotechnik with the company Evektor - one of the most prominent aircraft and automotive design company in Czech Republic, the Aerotechnik company was transformed into share holding company Evektor-Aerotechnik in 1999.
Today the company Evektor-Aerotechnik is a centre of business excellence in production of light aircraft.
